Projects Completed

Project 1:

For a project in my AP Computer Science class that I took in high school, I created a game using Scratch. For this game, you have to use the arrow keys to navigate around and gather crystals. You have a limit on the number of moves you can make, and you have to gather all the crystals to win. It was a very fun introduction to Computer Science and I learned a lot from the experience of creating this game. It sparked my interest in Computer Science.

Project 2:

In my freshman year of college at A&M, I completed a local engineering project with the club I'm in that's called Engineers Without Borders. I worked with the FIELD project team, and we came up with a design to build a pergola at an up and coming residential community for Texas A&M campus workers located close to campus. We came up with a construction plan, procured the materials, built the pergola, and painted it. It was a very exciting project and it taught me a lot about working in a team. It also taught me about the process of completing a project from beginning to end.

Project 3:

In my sophomore year of college at A&M, I helped with the documentation and monitoring of an ongoing international project that has been in progress for a couple years in my club, Engineers Without Borders. The project goal is to build 500 composting latrines in Matzyazo, Rwanda to help the community improve their sanitation affordably and improve their quality of life. This project has been amazing to be a part of, because I get to see how it's helping the people of Matzyazo everyday, and it taught me a lot about project management. Like the FIELD project, I got to observe and be a part of the different stages of development for a real world project.
